All Youth Deserve a Safe Place
to Be Active and Supported!

Physical activity, enrichment, and mentorship play indispensable roles in the healthy development of youth and young adults. Unfortunately, many youth across America lack access to one, if not all, of these factors.

Only 18%

of minority youth have access to summer learning programs, leading to significant learning loss each year.

Only 24%

of youth are active for 30 minutes a day, contributing to a childhood obesity epidemic.

Only 50%

of youth from disadvantaged areas have a mentor, leaving them without a positive influence.

As a consequence of these issues, youth are falling behind in both learning and health outcomes, decreasing their overall chance for success.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

We are a group of young people who are passionate about providing underserved youth with access to safe play spaces, enrichment programs, and mentorship. We are driven by a shared goal of leveraging our experiences as young professionals, college athletes, and entrepreneurs to mentor and support vulnerable youth.

Although there are many great nonprofits already providing exemplary programs to youth 10 to 22 years old, fewer resources are dedicated to this age group, leaving many without access to critical development opportunities. To address these gaps, we're
creating a youth resource center that will invest in the development of youth aged 10 to 22.

To equip youth to thrive in the 21st century, our areas of focus will be
wellness, lifelong learning, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and service-learning. Our programs will be led by young adult volunteers who can serve as positive role models and mentors.

Our Objectives

Increase access to engaging and enriching programs for underserved youth and young adults.

Provide young professionals and college athletes fulfilling growth experiences through volunteer and mentorship opportunities.

Mitigate learning loss and food insecurity disadvantaged youth and young adults face during the summer break and weekends.

Support other youth-focused nonprofits by providing them accessible, low to no-cost programs for their students.

The Fuel Zone

This initiative will address learning and wellness gaps when youth are not in school, such as the weekends and summer break.

As part of this program, students will receive a nutritious meal and enjoy physical, enrichment, and mentorship activities. Activities will be led by current and former college athletes, who will impart important lessons they've learned through their academic and playing careers.

Classes & Workshops

Knowing that youth and young adults often sustain learning loss during summer break and other off periods, the youth resource center will host programs that provide students opportunities to learn new skills and deepen their understanding of current subjects.

Programs offered will cover conventional academic topics such as math and reading as well as topics like art, podcasting, videography, coding, professional skills and exploration, life skills, and more.

Camps & Clinics

In addition to their physical benefits, sports also play an important role in the mental health, academic performance, self-confidence, and a socialization skills of youth and young adults.

Unfortunately, according to the 2020 Census, only 23.4% of youth below the poverty line have the opportunity to participate in sports. To help address this, we will offer affordable camps and clinics in a variety of sports taught by current and former college athletes.

The youth resource center will offer families access to a resource closet stocked with food, toiletries, clothes, sporting equipment, and school supplies.

By providing access to essential supplies, we hope to ensure that youth and young adults can always get the items needed to thrive and pursue their goals.
