Better Together Foundation
About the Foundation
The Better Together Foundation (formerly known as Young Leaders for Change) is a DFW-based, young adult-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our mission is to support the holistic development of youth by providing experiential programming that enriches them in the areas of service-learning, entrepreneurism, lifelong learning, physical and mental wellness, and professionalism.
Physical & Mental Wellness
Our vision is to fulfill this mission through the creation of innovative youth resource centers that are dedicated to the promotion of these areas in safe, welcoming environments for youth of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds right in the heart of their communities.
Through our work, we strive to ensure the next generation grows up to be the next changemakers, educators, innovators, community leaders, and more.
How We Started
In spring 2019, Alex Quian decided that he wanted to use his college summer break to serve the DFW community. Unsure of what he should do next, he shared this idea with his mentor, who then challenged Alex to complete 30 different service projects in 30 days.
He accepted this challenge and created an initiative called 30 Days of Service. Throughout July 2019, he completed projects such as starting a reading program at a local Boys & Girls Club, serving breakfast to seniors, providing dorm essentials to low-income college students, and more.
As a result of this initiative, over 1,800 individuals were impacted in the DFW area and Alex had the privilege of working with more than 20 different organizations.
The work of the Better Together Foundation would not be possible without the generous support of individuals and companies who share our passion for helping the community and investing in youth. To make a donation, please click here. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
